August Update - Opening Our Clinic

Clinic construction is almost complete. We've hired our nurses. And our opening date is set!

Our lights are on (with our dimmer switches coming this afternoon)! Our countertops are installed. James, our painter, did some final touch ups on our gorgeous walls yesterday. And our IT team will finish installing our computers tomorrow. Now we've started moving in our furniture and are turning our attention to adding the finishing touches to decorate our space...This is the fun part!

Insurance Contracts

After months of filling out applications and jumping through countless hoops, we are pleased to report that we are in the final stages of signing contracts with all the major insurance companies in our area except United Healthcare and BCBS (not to worry—we’re still working on those two!) Hiring
We were amazed at the number and caliber of nurses that applied for jobs with our clinic, and we had some tough hiring decisions choosing between so many qualified applicants.  Now, after weeks of interviewing and checking references, we have officially hired our team and are beyond thrilled to introduce you to our nurses - Shelley Bradford, RN and Andrea Arapian, RN.

• Dr. Brown has known Shelley since she began her training as a medical student nearly 20 years ago! Shelley has worked here in town at Brenner Children’s Hospital for the past 28 years and has received many awards for her extraordinary nursing service. She and Dr. Brown worked together for years during Dr. Brown’s residency training and time on faculty at Wake Forest Baptist School of Medicine.
• Dr. Brown has also known Andrea for years, as Dr. Brown cared for her children as their pediatrician. Andrea still works in the Forsyth Medical Center Emergency Department on the weekends but has experience working in other local outpatient pediatric offices over the past few years, and we’re excited to have her work with us a couple days per week as well.

Opening Date
We will begin to see patients in our clinic on Monday, October 9, 2023!
We plan to have an open house a couple weeks before opening so that we can welcome patients' families and our friends and neighbors into our new space, and share it with everyone in our community who has been so supportive of our clinic.
 
Register as a CCWS patient! 
The best news of all is that we are now accepting applications for patients to join our practice! We recommend first reviewing the “Are We a Good Fit” page on our website and reviewing our Office Policies. Then, to apply to join, simply fill out the Registration form available on the Establish Care/Transfer page. Just to be clear, this is necessary even for those who previously filled out an interest survey as this will collect additional information needed to set you up in our portal system to receive our New Patient packet with all the forms needed to officially sign up to be CCWS patients.
Since our clinic is designed to be very small, we anticipate starting with a core group of patients and may need to create a waitlist to ensure that we do not grow at a rate that would outpace the type of care we intend to provide—high touch, high tech, uber responsive care.
